Weddings are supposed to run like clockwork and there is always a lot going on behind the scenes to make this happen. As maid of honor you will be one of the chief choreographers of the day, ensuring that timings are right, everybody looks the part, and that you fulfill any special needs of the wedding party. Everything will have been planned and agreed months in advance so you should never feel totally phased on the big day.

Being part of the bridal party is a great honor and not one to be taken lightly. Think about your relationship with the bride or groom. Why do you think they have asked you to be their maid of honor? What made you stand out from everybody else? You’re obviously somebody very special otherwise they would never have asked you to step into such an important role.

Here are just some of the responsibilities you might have as maid of honor:
Helping to coordinate the bridesmaids. If there are two or more bridesmaids it can be hard to get everybody together at the right times to discuss the wedding preparations. It will usually be your role to contact bridesmaids and be the liaison between them and the bride.
