“Little Known Tales in Nevada History” is the newest book by western historical writer Alton Pryor. The book contains thirty-six chapters, each depicting a separate event or person in Nevada’s colorful history.
The book tells about the controversy that Nevadans and Californians had in naming what is now Lake Tahoe, which straddles the California-Nevada line.
The author gives readers a look at the whole of Nevada, not just its desert and gambling. Read about Tybo, Nevada, barely averting a war between whites and Asians. There is the Verdi Train robbery, the Battle at Pyramid Lake, and Nevada’s last lynching, all covered in a fun-to-read format.
