This glossary was developed for teachers and students of Information Technology in high schools. It reflects the theoretical content of the Information Technology (IT) syllabus which is generally used in the 4th and 5th forms or grades ten and eleven. It is intended to be used as supplementary material to other texts and the approach should be to understand the definitions thoroughly, rather than committing to memory, only. The definitions should be viewed and used as parameters for the understanding of various topics and sub topics. No single definition should be treated as an end within itself, but as a means to an end. This end is an enhanced and appreciable understanding of the associated topic. It is hoped that the glossary will be a handy and productive companion throughout the period of preparation for all internal and external exams.
