Evil comes to the small Indian town of Rattlesnake in the guise of the local law: Sheriff Robert Biddle, his brother Deputy Clarence Biddle, and owner of the town general store, Vent Jameson.
What better place than this impoverished town for the terrible threesome to hide their stolen loot taken from various banks across the Southwest, and at the same time being in control of the town as officers of the law.
This is their plan, and it is working, until twin brothers Kane and Drew Shannon discover the Sheriff and his posse using their ranch for clandestine activities. It soon becomes a fight for their lives, a fight that one of the brothers does not win.
The storm-ravaged night, the identical twins, the brutal rape of the Indian woman, Sage Cadie, the unwanted pregnancy, the deadly secret in a makeshift grave -- all culminates years later when Blue, a young Indian boy, leaves the reservation on a quest to find his true identity. His journey leads him to Shannon Ranch, to a mother he does not remember, and to a discovery that his father, who he desperately hopes to find, has been murdered on a night long ago.
Blue knows that the only thing that will set all of them free is to eliminate the cause, and in the moment the nefarious town kingpins think they have won, their world literally comes crashing down. And in the wake comes a revelation that shakes Blue’s world to the core.
