Caring for animals in captivity is not a scientific journal; it simply shares my experiences of working in a zoo and other animal establishments. This information has been brought together from my personal recollections and working notes together with advice I have received along the way. What I have written can answer some questions about what you really do in an animal park but also answer questions like, ‘is that animal really meant to be doing that?’ If you have to ask then generally no it shouldn’t.
The animals included range from primates to penguins but I wrote this because I wanted the world to know that there was once a gibbon called Zena, a Langur named Kyle and a leopard called Zeth.
