Lumberville Seven
Brookynite Angelo Giusto sets out on a quest with his friend and fellow orphan, James Houston. Their plan is find Angelo’s two brothers who were sent to Kansas and return with them before searching for the remaining four siblings in New York. The travelers find more than they anticipated after they take a wrong turn and arrive at Lumberville, Pennsylvania where they are challenged by the law and an intuitive Mrs. Penelope Brown, who gives them the choice of jail or working for her. They soon discover that digging holes and thatching roofs can be exhausting work with disappointing pay, but as they familiarize themselves with the small community and its residents, which include civil war hero,Zeke Thompson, and a former Spanish cleric, they reconsider their original plan.
