In Nobody's Perfect Angel, we (the reader) partake in the incredible journey of Angel Hardaway's life after falling prey to a smooth talking, ruthless pimp.
We're introduced to a naive, impulsive, yet very bright eighteen year old Angel Hardaway, who's life initially begins innocent and in a sense quite normal. High school ends, and although Angel has the opportunity to take the path that leads to a bright future, she instead takes a different, much darker route.
Her entire life changes the moment she meets James Anderson, cutthroat pimp and businessman. He easily persuades Angel to join his "team" and Angel is more than eager to oblige. After all, who else would be in her corner besides a mother who cares about her alcoholic ex con boyfriend more than she does her own daughter?
Without looking back, Angel leaves home and embarks on a rough journey involving exotic dancing and prostituting. However, Jay's no-nonsense approach to make Angel the best in the game may prove to be a little more than what she bargained for.
Things eventually become more complicated after Angel becomes romantically involved with her long time best friend. With the two most important men in her life pulling her in opposite directions will Angel be able to tolerate it all? And most importantly, will she be able to withstand her newfound hustle?
