This is a collection of the first three stories in the Shades of Night series: Wounded Fox, El Chupacabra in Texas and Immortal White Trash.

In Wounded Fox, a boy sees a mysterious wolf, but nobody believes him until the members of his town begin dying in strange ways.

El Chupacabra in Texas tells the tale of a Texas rancher whose cattle seemingly begin falling victim to the legendary El Chupacabra while at the same time strange lights begin appearing in the sky at night. The rancher suspects a large corporation who owns a neighboring ranch is performing strange experiments on cows and that they are somehow to blame.

Immortal White Trash is the story of a vampire hunter who follows what he believes to be erroneous tips about a group of vampires living in the middle of the Nevada desert. After investigating the area, the vampire hunter is caught by a new breed of vampires who give new meaning to the term “white trash.”
