While the diet’s name may lead people to think they will lose all their unwanted weight in 17 days, in reality, it is comprised of a series of 17 day cycles. Each cycle changes what foods you should eat. However, some people can lose 10 to 12 pounds in the first 17 days.
Accordingly, this diet plan works by confusing your metabolism. It does this through four cycles of altering the amounts of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats you eat every few days. Each cycle has a different goal. The idea is that the body will burn more abdominal fat by varying calories consumed.
