Although Lil’ Kim and DMX argued (well actually Kim rapped and DMX barked) that, “Money, power & respect is the key to life,” it would appear the majority of folks are in hot pursuit of money, power and sex. Now, you may be thinking, what in the Ella Fitzgerald does this discussion have to do with the “Mind”? Even more, what does it have to do with the Body, Mind & Spirit? My response: it has everything to do with it.
Just stop and think about the inordinate amount of time and effort we spend in pursuit of money, power and sex. Not to mention the anxiety, frustration and stress caused by our insatiable appetites, since the more we get, the more we want. This vicious cycle inevitably will negatively impact our body, mind, and spirit. On Day 14 we’ll examine the self-imprisonment that the pursuit of money, power, and sex often brings.
