Near starvation and injured, Little Roxanne visits a place of peace and love. She hears beautiful music and singing of someone the white-clad beings adore. But she does not understand who they sing of. The loving beings gently send her back, explaining that it is not yet her time to be there.
Roxanne returns to the anguish of abandonment and fostercare. She searches for her missing mother and struggles to find peace in a new, unfamiliar life. But when the Christmas season brings learning of Jesus, she learns to sing the angel's song.
