Fans of movies such as HAWK THE SLAYER, KRULL or FIRE AND ICE might like this one. Of the story, Bain says, "I originally wrote this story to be "over the top" but found I was falling in love with the characters, and I became more serious about it as the story progressed. While the story has many of the flaws typically found in the work of fledgling fantasy writers, I've decided to let it stand as is, rather than extensively rewrite. I still love rereading this story, and we'll eventually be seeing more stories featuring Shin and Skulk - in fact, another, "Shin's Silent Quest" is already available."
This is an early story by David Bain, the author of GRAY LAKE: A NOVEL OF CRIME AND SUPERNATURAL HORROR and several short story collections. He teaches writing at a community college in Indiana. Watch for DEATH SIGHT, the first novel in the Will Castleton series.
