Anya finally finds a diversion from the sorry state of her love life--her best friend Vanessa is in town for three weeks on a vacation that was strongly suggested by her boss. However, Vanessa is not the carefree, cavalier-with-her-heart free spirit that Anya remembers. Their predicaments are similar: both are lonely, horny, and have a distinct shortage of available men in their respective futures. Vanessa is convinced that she has ruined her one and only chance at true happiness by running through the lovers supplied by the time-traveling jewelry box.
Vanessa's depression makes Anya start to doubt the wisdom of capering through history on a string of one-night escapades, but as the jewelry-foretold day rolls around, she devises a surefire plan to cheer them both up. The sun and sands of Egypt teem with the promise of sexual satisfaction, but there is no telling how long the bliss will last.
