Liberty Sanderson has a twin sister called Callie and they are identical in every way…except one.

Liberty has just been diagnosed with cancer and her sister Callie is right by her side but as Liberty fights for her life she begins to see things in a very different light.

As Liberty embarks on gruelling chemotherapy she loses the looks that Callie still has. Every day that she sees her sister, she sees how she should look, but how doesn’t anymore.

Defying Gravity is a short story that shows that blood isn’t always thicker then water and that during the darkest days of our lives we can try and extinguish the light of those who try to help us through it.
