The Gillie Meets The Wee People. His hair and beard were snow white. You could not help but notice him. He was in full formal Scottish dress. I had never seen him on other visits to the soda shop, so I went over and asked him if I could join him. He seemed to be excited that someone was interested in him.I spent almost an hour with him and he introduced himself as The Gillie of Heavlee Manor. It was not long before he started to tell me his story. During the conversation, he mentioned his encounters with the Wee People. For several months, I visited him in at his favorite table in the soda shop. The Gillie never failed in sharing the stories of the Wee People.I have tried to retell his stories as he had told me. The stories are not sequential, but in the order that he related them to me. Some stories are in the present, as if they were happening in the same room. Others he related in the past and he seemed to drift back to that time as he tells them.
