Out on the pond, swam a little brown duck,
next to a fish who’s name was Buck.

The little brown Duck’s name was Ned
They were the best of friends, everyone said

Buck loved worms, as all fish do
So Ned would catch him one or two

And drop them in the water, for Buck to eat
Down below, beneath Ned’s feet

Then Buck would dig up some leafy greens
From the bottom of the pond, came Ned’s cuisine

Buck would jump from the water and drop them for Ned
and Ned would catch them with a twist of his head

Then round the pond the two would swim,
Their tummies stuffed up full to the brim

The best of friends you ever did see
Smiling and happy as can be
