Not In My Country is about a man who, through a twist of fate, finds himself caught up in a terrorist plot, and this threatens his country, which he loves so dearly. His original assignment was to check on the drug trade between Mexico and the U.S., but he finds intrigue, death, and love—a great, passionate love— which helps to heal the wounds of his past. But he is not to have her. The fates once again take him in a different direction. He destroys those who would bring harm to his beloved country and leaves his new love behind to follow his destiny.About the Author Nick Yancy was born in the Bayou Lafourche, LA, area in 1953, the oldest of six children. He was athletic in school and graduated from high school with a 3.9 grade point average. In his senior year, he took a creative writings class, in which his teacher complimented him many times and commented to him, “Your only negative trait is that you cannot write as fast as your mind can create. Maybe one day someone will create a computer that will type your words for you and then you would be able to let your creative juices flow without restriction.” It was during this time in his life, through her tutelage, that he realized his talent. As years passed by, he found himself being the storyteller in all circles where he was a guest and fancied himself a bit like Hans Christian Anderson. His life, however, would take a different turn from pursuing a literary career to one in the military which, quite by accident and a twist of fate, opened up a path to a special department of law enforcement. Not In My Country is just one of many stories in a series about his life.(2010, casebound, 130 pages)
