Courage, strength and hope are the theme of this book. I was raised in a home filled with extreme domestic violence and alcoholism. My mother Elizabeth was married six times and at the age of 44 she died of cervical cancer. The next 13 years of my life are spent in the drunken haze of alcoholism. I put together old family stories and letters saved by my mother to show the reader the true person Elizabeth was and what happened to change her life and then I tell my own story of what happened to bring me out of alcoholism and to believe that no matter how bad thing s may seem in your life there is always hope. Never give up and never quit dreaming.
