From that foundation, my tastes expanded as I got older. I gravitated toward action & adventure stories, watched war & military films with my brothers, and eventually became fascinated by suspense thrillers with a political bent.What I attempted to do with The Awakened was to craft a story that was epic in scale, combined all of my favorite genres and themes, and spanned worlds from ancient cultures to our own modern civilization. In short, I wrote the book that I wanted to read but couldn’t find.And readers have responded!
