When Nick – a bored office worker – wins a free holiday to a brand-new five star Caribbean hotel with his friends, he thinks his luck is in. His biggest worry is having to share his room with his pot-head mate and getting to breakfast on time, until things start to go wrong: the maid stops visiting; someone has drained the swimming pool; there’s a severed human head on the all-inclusive buffet.
When the local militia move in and rumors of a voodoo-inspired serial killer surface, Nick ends up feeling more like a refugee than a holiday maker. His best mate Dave has got a gun, there’s something not quite right about American students Todd and Jade, and Claire – Dave’s girlfriend – may or may not be hitting on him. Again.
Soon outnumbered and more interested in survival than getting a tan, Nick finds himself starting to miss the office life he had resented. But at least he’s not bored any more...
