Burmese Recipes- Simple, Low Calorie And Sumptuous
by Kanchan Kabra
I happened to go to Burma, recently and was dumpling with sauce and yellow rice. They were impressed by the culture, food and people out there. We stayed at my friend’s relative house where only couple, senior citizens were staying. They were very patient, calm and loving. One day as we spent some time at home, aunty offered us vegetable served piping hot, they were made really perfect, I liked the food a lot and request her to tell and teach me a few of the vegetarian dishes. She agreed and taught me a few dishes. Here I have pen down a few easy to make but really delicious recipes, which I learnt from her. Burmese use a lot of rice, coconut, vegetables and sesame. The cuisine is healthy as it uses very little oil and is made fresh just before serving.
Happy Cooking!!!
