Foster care is more than what I ever could have imagined it to be. It has been the biggest challenge of my life and, every once in a while, the most gratifying. If I can see just a glimpse of change in any of these boys, it lets me know that I am on the right track. Knowing that I have made a very small difference in these children's lives is better than nothing at all. After watching her own mother struggle with mental illness and a history of abuse, S. After working in a residential facility, she finally decided, despite the fact that she was already a single mother, to take in foster children.
