A Fan Ran!
Book Four, Set One
In Book Four, the student will practice reading words containing the sound "a" sound again but this time followed by the letter "n." There will not be this many books devoted to each of the short vowel sounds, only this first one to get the student off to a good start and to help him discern the minor differences in sound with the various endings. This book also introduces the exclamation point, where only a period has been used before. It is important to explain to the student what this symbol means so he isn't thrown off by it and so he gets the full excitement of the book he is reading.
