Prejudice is a learned behaviors. No child comes into the
world hating another person simply because they are of
another race or culture or because they choose a
different lifestyle.
In My Friend’s Skin, Sidney goes to the beach and
notices that some people have dark skin; some have
slanted eyes; others speak or dress different than he
does. Von-Von affirms that even though we are different,
we are one big Earth family. We all have the ability to
share the gift of love and appreciate our uniqueness.
