A short college paper in the form of a short story. The paper was written during a class in \'Ethics in Criminal Justice\' at Bellevue College. It cover the concept of \"Dissonance tends to be resolved in terms of more recent behaviors\" by using the example of a proactive officer creating a youth program to aid the department\'s shift towards a \'community policing model\'.

Opening Paragraph:

As she pulled out of the department’s parking lot onto East Weston Avenue and punched the accelerator she couldn’t believe it. “Community Policing,” she mumbled under her breath. “Ha, what community? Nothing but a bunch of job-taking, gang-banging, criminals. Hell, every stop was a fifty-fifty chance for a warrant or an illegal alien.” But what the heck, she decided that she’d make the best of it.
