Tell me a Story, Uncle Steve is a series of illustrated short stories that were originally planned as a modernization of Aesop’s Fables. In doing the writing, it was decided that while the stories should teach a moral or life lesson, the level of reader would be much younger. Uncle Steve tells fantasy stories about things that children like to learn about. He tries to present them with situations that make them think about themselves and the world around them.
Have you ever looked at an animal in the zoo or seen a dog or a cat and thought that the animal was trying to talk to you? What if it wasn’t pretend? That’s what happened to Steven when he was young. He went for a walk in the woods and “talked” to a frog. It got him into serious trouble with the other animals in the woods. You should see what happened… .
