Eva has finally settled into her new life. She has friends that are loyal and understanding, she is in love and she just figured out how to survive being the only Angelus Vampiric in existence. But, as Eva soon discovers, things aren't always as they seem.
Eva returns to the Onyx Realm of the Moon in order to figure out why she can't seem to shake the darkness closing in around her. Once in the realm, Eva finds out that the once brilliant moon has been replaced with the first phase of the blood moon, signaling that in three days, war will be thrust upon the realms. Unfortunately Eva misreads the significance of this particular blood moon until it is too late. AchMagra has unleashed the Archangels, and everyone is in hiding. Ash is falling from the sky as the Archangels devour even fellow angels in the Guardian Realm of the Sun; their angelic physiques disintegrating as their grace is separated from their bodies. However, more disturbing is what the angels that escape the wrath of AchMagra must do in order to survive. Hoping that they will be returned to the Guardian Realm of the Sun, and once again be at peace.
Friendships will be broken, trust shattered, and alliances made with the most unlikely of characters. Nobody is safe, and Eva will lose everything dear to her. But even that won't be the worst she will endure, if she doesn't convince the council to pull back the Archangels, and end the war between the realms.
