This installment in the American Auto Trail series travels the route of U.S. Highway 11 across Pennsylvania from northeast to southwest. U.S. 11 follows the Susquehanna River Valley from the New York Line to Harrisburg, where it then crosses the Southern plains of the state to the Maryland State Line. The rich state history, from the Native Americans, through the Industrial Revolution, to the American Civil War, is evident in every mile.
