Lendle

Just as the bridegroom is telling his bride, “Behold thou art consecrated unto me according to the law of Moses and Israel,” he and she, and all the wedding guests are slain cruelly. The ring is stolen. It is given later to another bride; but this ring has a voice, and that voice keeps repeating, “Behold thou art consecrated to me …” in Hebrew. The voice comes out at unexpected times, with totally unexpected results. This short tale follows the adventures of the wedding ring through hundreds of years, until it finally is able to fulfill its God-given destiny!
