Its objective is to allow you to construe a complementary understanding of the main movements in Logistics, a topic so broad, complex and up to date. In doing so, it does not commit itself to any classic, methodological or sequential approaches, but to collecting ideas and issues that should be debated and adapted case by case, according to the logistics of each specific business or type of logistics support.
Actually, my goal in writing it was to discuss the strategic reasoning behind logistics for production. For that purpose, I present concepts such as standardization, regionalization, supplier differenced treatments, alliances, partnerships, and contingency. I also discuss several issues such as reasons for new business approaches and how to reach sustained productive processes.
